I wrote this essay August 19, 2026 regarding Enoch from the generations of Adam. One cannot simply study Eschatology and not study Enoch. I’ve been studying remotely working towards a Masters in Eschatology for over a year, yet Enoch has not come up until recently. Needless to say I was elated when I was given the opportunity to expound on his writings. As I present my work, I will also share it with you how all things correlate with our time now, my perspective on Enoch writings in filling sin the blanks, and more importantly for a record of how I grow and change as I deep dive into the history of the world, human race, and all spiritual things as I edify the gospel of Jesus Christ. A Cry of Warning

Enoch was called by God to foretell of a great reset due to great wickedness, so much so that God wished he hadn’t even made man. We’ll discuss how not all apples from the same tree are good, in fact you may only get one person out of a whole bunch that has an ounce of goodness; brothers, fathers, sons, daughters, mothers, even angels are all subject to sin. But how far down will someone go to be part of such a great destruction, self and otherwise? What is the point of no return and who shall be saved? Do wayward thinkers even want to be saved? Can the stubborn, headstrong, rebellious, and erratic people even be saved?

The answer to that question is two-fold, one is yes people can be saved and two is how others strive to help people save themselves from themselves by the struggling thought of “ought everyone want to be saved?” Unfortunately most have the behavior that they do no wrong, and no need to change. These are the proud, the stubborn, the vain, the impure in thought and deed. It is sad as the things they do impact the ones near to them and this behavior spreads, deep and wide the generation gap flows and folks will do what they see done. Just like in the days of Moses, if someone was bitten by a serpent, all they had to do was look upon the staff to be healed and saved. In our days, all we have to do is swallow that pride, which takes humility, change and being teachable. If one does not have strength to do this thing, one should call upon God for help and recognize they are nothing without him.

Change is needed to enter the Kingdom of God, a major step in this process of which we all have the opportunity is that of repentance; we are all in need of repentance. The humble ones do repent, but the proud, the vain, the self-centered, the godless don’t and won’t repent.  These are they who seek after worldly things; these are they who don’t answer to anyone but themselves. These make fun of what is good, laugh at sacrifice, and seek to get all they can gain, they even destroy their own family and children. I don’t even need to read or study Enoch to learn of his generation of these people, I have experienced this for myself and still do with people in my own extended family. Naturally family ought not treat others with calculating selfish manipulating control.. but evil is evil and like the Watchers and children of the Watchers, if they don’t change they will be utterly destroyed and have to learn the hard way.

What is happening today was also going on in the days of Adam and Enoch. I am certain all of us can relate to bad people and bad experiences. Until then we must endure well to the end. Keep our oxygen mask on, then help others. We can only help so much and offer so much assistance, hence why 1 Enoch is so important for all to read. This record is a foretelling, foreshadowing warning for all to humble one selves, repent and have a single purpose, a single eye, a single glory to God, and serve him because you love him. When we love God, we put HIM first, and as a result, love righteousness. Next step, keep repeating righteousness, produce good fruits.

But God respects agency; he knows not all will choose Him, not then, not since, not now and not to come. Many want to know what is in it for them, they learn to get gain they cut corners, and lack work ethic, what is yours is theirs. But those are fools, like the Watchers who did not put Christ first. The gospel of Christ is hard for the flesh, it takes work, effort, will, ethics, desire, trust, and faith.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”

An Epic Read

Enoch saw much and left us counsel for these latter days. As the Spirit of God helps you to discern truth and grant you wisdom as you read this essay take note of what Enoch shared what happens when we obey God’s commandments, and laws, and what the consequences are when we don’t? We get reminded that God destroyed the wicked then, and He will do so again when He returns. He destroyed the world with a flood and, upon His second return, will destroy it with fire. Water to cleanse and fire to purify, and after the cleansing and purification, the earth will be glorified and man that willfully chooses God will live forever. It is clear for me to see where I stand as I know I am nothing with God. God rules!

Although only a handful of accounts are noted in the Bible’s regarding Enoch, for what was not included, has come to light in other records. These discoveries or findings were preserved and translated for us to read, ponder, study, pray, and learn from. I believe in due time the pure writings and truth of Enoch shall be revealed. Meanwhile, here are the accounts recorded: the Ethiopic (Ge’ez), Aramaic (Dead Sea Scrolls), Greek, and English translations of Jewish writings, which comprise Enoch 1 and The Book of The Watchers. This essay I’ll discuss 1 Enoch, from the third chapter.

Resource material from which seekers learn comes from the following scholars, who are recognized for bringing the writings to our eyes and ears. These include Richard Lawrence (1821), whose basis is the Ge’ez. R.H. Charles (1893/1912), derived from Ethiopic, Greek, and German texts. Michael A. Knibb (1978) from the Ge’ez manuscript. Ephraim Isaac (1983), which derived from ancient Jewish and Christian writings, and Matthew Black (1985), from Greek and Aramaic Enoch fragments of The Dead Sea Scrolls, including a text called The Book of Giants. 

Even upon translation, another scholar, Matthew Black, whom met with Hugh Nibley (1976-77) extensively, and being stunned by what Hugh Nibley was publishing regarding ancient Enoch traditions and The Book of Moses was curious as to possible other reveals of Enoch. Moreover, George W.E. Nickelsburg (2001/2012), gathering data from all the above. It is sufficient to say, Enoch’s account is of most curious study, and an epic read.

Following this essay, I’ll review all of 1 Enoch, chapters 1-36, combining some chapters into one story as we learn the fate of The Book of the Watchers. My resource material for these will come from the Ethiopian Cannon alongside my own personal comments. I found it agreeable to start strong like a wrecking ball as we turn our attention to the Fallen Angels, and secrets. But first, context.

The Generations of Adam

Who is Enoch, and who are these fallen angels? Although we don’t know much about these angels who fell except names, who are their leaders, the leader, their assignment in heaven, at least partially, how they sinned, and in part a consequence to this grave sin. But of Enoch we know of greater things, and his story will be shared in all forthcoming chapters from this Ethiopian cannon and KJV of the Holy Bible, for now we set the nuts-and-bolts stage of this horrific account beginning with Enoch’s DNA.

Enoch, the son of Jared, who was the son of Mahalalel, who was the son of Kenan (Cainan), who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam. In those days, Enoch was called by God to tell the Watchers, also known as Fallen Angels, the judgment that would come upon them, and to ask people of Cainan to repent and stop sinning. He initially thought “who am I” to do such a thing? He was not confident in himself as he was but a lad and was not quite sure how to speak in the way that was needed. But God assured him that he would put the words into his mind that he would speak. Enoch was obedient to God, had exceedingly great faith and did what The Lord hath commanded of him. Enoch had a threefold calling as it appears wile on earth: scribe, seer, and to continue in righteousness so he would be saved, even translated.

Genesis 5:22-24 (KJV) And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters, and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years, and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch and his holy people saved themselves by following God and loving God. But others loved Satan more than God. Perhaps others from his other creations of earths or heavens were just as evil and have since been destroyed, I would conjecture to say yes. But with certainty we know that the Watchers failed the first commandment. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, might, mind and strength. The generations of Adam didn’t need tablets to understand this great commandment, Prophets, Angels and even God walked on earth during the generations of Adam, until they couldn’t.

In the Bible’s account of creation, God created all souls. We know that not all souls were good, but all souls were given a calling; each of us has a purpose and a plan to help fulfill. It is our agency by which we are to choose the right and follow God’s counsel and plan. But when we don’t, plan to fail. These works of unrighteousness are secret combinations that began in the Pre-existence with Lucifer. On earth, these followers of Satan in the land of Canaan, are Anti-Christ, which was ripened in iniquity when the Watchers descended. 

Important to note scripture that comes full circle in eschatology, which Enochian tones are filled with.

Hebrews 1:2 (KJV) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were of made of things which do appear.

Isaiah 45:18 (KJV) For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Genesis 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 

Genesis 2:1 (KJV) Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Job 38:7 (KJV) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Revelation 22: 17 (KJV) And the spirit and the bride say, Come, and let him that heareth say, Come, and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 

Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV) And he gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me (great song)

Everything comes full circle. There is a plan of salvation; hence, the earth was made. Our Savior’s plan is flawless; His principles are sound and upright. The old saying is true: principles don’t fail; it’s people who fail principles. Also, if you fail to plan, plan to fail.

You see, it was not in the plan for man to know all things, or even much of many things right out the gate. We were here, set apart, to learn and grow naturally. But Satan, who rebelled and was cast down along with a heavenly host, was wroth, angry, and mad. He wanted to unleash vengeance, and at every turn he could muster, he pulled those who loved Christ his way with knowledge into all unrighteousness. Knowledge, not wisdom. He did so with secrets, and when the Watchers came, they followed suit. What transpired after this was the ripening of iniquity, big time.

Clearly, the Sons of God, who were supposed to keep a watchful eye over the inhabitants of this earth, didn’t keep their estate and instead looked upon the comely and beautiful daughters of men, who were fair and beautiful, and lusted after them. I believe these people were already partially corrupt. I believe these were those who followed after Cain.

Some question this next bit, but I believe The Watchers had corporeal bodies, as they defiled themselves and begat children. The off spring of these Watchers became giants, regular normal people don’t begat children who grow to enormous size and strength. I will take the same theory and enlist the actual Watchers were not normal size men.

Some say it could be their souls’ inhabited bodies; however, taking wives and desiring to have children tells me it was not of spirit form, but of flesh. This also tells me perhaps they may have come from another earth at an earlier time, and then a heavenly high place, having lived and known of enticements of evil, metallurgy, enchantments, enhancements of beauty, where to find, how to make, use weapons and technology. 

These Watchers were holy at one time, just as Lucifer was at a time, then became a fallen angel. But they seemed to have literal physical bodies, as they produced Giants with these women.

These watchers were also called angels, angels with bodies, unmarried men. It never mentions these men abandoned another family or already had a wife; maybe they did, but I would think not, as their role was to watch from the high place, an eternal one, but somehow, they felt they had a better plan. This is where things begin to unfold. You see, they had great knowledge, but it was useless knowledge compared to the mind of God, who has wisdom in all things.

God knows all things; along with HIS Father. So, it’s clear even in the high place’s with those he trust ego can exist; it did as much when Lucifer thought himself better and devised his own plan and had others join with him. Likewise, the watcher Simjaza came up with a plan, filled with ego and brought some of his best buds along with him, they fell just like Satan, and Satan was the devil. But according to Enoch all evil will be at the fault of Azazel, filled with ego, who shared forbidden knowledge.

The leader, who did not want to ever be implicated alone, bound all of them to mutual imprecations, swearing an oath not to reveal what they had done. As if God would not know. Foolish are they; God knows everything, he made everything, he is the father of our spirits. He breathed into Adam’s lungs, created woman from Adam’s rib, gave them commandments, walked with Adam, and ministered unto him. God knew what Cain did to Abel. But it is we who must give an account to Him, to show our humility and repentance. Some do; some don’t. God weeps over His people; He loves us, but He would rather an unrighteous man be done away with than an entire nation dwindle in unbelief.

Enoch had great faith, and as he was praying and blessing the Lord of Majesty and King of Ages, he was hearkened to by those righteous watchers/angels looking down as the cries of man reached the heavens.

And Then..

The Watchers that called unto Enoch from the high heaven, the eternal place, were Michael, Uriel, Gabriel, and Raphael. They said “Enoch, scribe of righteousness,” and his prayer was interrupted and given this assignment to go and tell the Watchers who had left the high heaven, the eternal place, and had gone to this earth to defile themselves with women, took wives, and taught all the ways man was not supposed to learn that they would be stopped, and killed, and bound, and subject to all consequence. 

In modern days, when the media picks up a story about a horrible villain, a mass murderer, school shooter, or an evil and corrupt person, you will see and hear those who mention the names of the victims to honor them, and not mention the killer’s name to give him or her any attention. As we get more into the latter days people see bad as good and good as bad and who was a victim is the enemy, a twisted way of thinking certainly. But in the case of Enoch, in no way possible with our human capacity can we name all the people who were victims of this evil plan that caused a reset as it was vast. But Enoch knew the names of the fallen angels and did as he was commanded, he wrote them down. The main one was Shimjaza who organized chiefs of ten leaders: Samlazaz, their leader; Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaqlel, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel, and Azazel. These, along with the others for a total of 200 did awful things, made the world in all its inhabitants corrupt (except Enoch and his righteous people).  

Enoch taught holy things, he was considered a wild man; as anyone outside of the ways of the world is looked upon as wild although the opposite is true, but we are laughed at, scorned, and called names like “wild man” or “madman”.

The fallen Watchers had advanced intelligence, some powers, and how to do things that pleased people. The folks were truly impressed, as if they became the best Sneetches on the beaches. The daughters of man fell for them, hook, line, and sinker. After all, they had already had a lot of practice in the land of Cainan, which was already vastly ripe with iniquity, but with this new knowledge, they were unstoppable.

The giants whom the Watchers begot were said to be three thousand ells tall, which translates to… who knows? It seems almost as tall as the Tower of Babel itself, which would seem impossible. Perhaps lost in translation or not, these giants consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, it was run for your life, because you were what’s for dinner! It is written that indeed, the giants turned against the natural man and devoured mankind. I watched the Odyssey recently and the scene of the armored giants reminds of this passage. Side note, I am not a fan of the film, but this one part had me visual what a scene of this may have looked like.

But that was not all; evil begets evil, and they began to sin against birds, beasts, reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh and drink the blood.

Everything was godlessness; they committed fornication, were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. As man perished, cries went up to heaven.

The cries were heard, and the holy ones took counsel with the Lord, and all this was recorded in the days of Jared. 

I believe the Watchers will play a role in the world’s final destruction. But God’s plan is bigger and better!

1 John 1 (KJV) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Consider the following

Perhaps in a lunch break in the heavens, in the break room, the party goer of the bunch, a ringleader, the smarty pants if you will emerge and could not bridle his passion any longer.  Having recognized which of his co-workers could be in cahoots having shown somewhat of a corrupt mind, and said to them, “Come, let us choose wives from among the children of men and beget us children.” 

Semjaza, who stood out, only talked about selfish wants, envies, lust and desires, to have fun, stop working and get all the perks, even if they weren’t meant for them.  He did not say, “I know that we know better” only he wanted selfishness, and sharing secrets to win people over, he made a fail proof plan to keep people in their sins. Look at us, we know stuff, and we are smart, don’t you want to know how to be better, so you get gain? 

People fell for it all, but shhhhhh, let’s keep it on the down low. In fact, let’s be a team here, but a secret one. Swear to me and everyone here that we will do this thing. Then, they all put their hands in and, one, two, three “hooray!” They must have smerked a cheer and off they went, abandoning their post. 

Honoring the post takes patience, tolerance, forbearance, self-control, self -respect, trust, faith, work ethic, and righteousness. They proved themselves unworthy.

God trusted them, they had received a calling, a work, a purpose from Gods wisdom. It would seem they must have had much autonomy as to clock in and out of work, seems as if for a while they were undetected, as when they left, they were not stopped. Did they intend to return after sick leave? Were they going to come and go? Did they come and go? Did they have an underground hustle and others covered for each other? Criminal minds devise criminally. Which really pisses me off. It’s the ones who calculate. They may be patient at first, but they will stop at nothing, even destroy man to get selfish gain. I know persons like this now, and many suffer because of their selfishness. 

We cannot turn a blind eye to allow evil to happen to us, we armor ourselves with the shield of righteousness, as did the land of Enoch, just as in the second coming, the pure in heart will be saved, and we shall ascend. But these Watchers descended with a vapor of foolishness on Mount Hermon. Descended could mean they were in a vessel and landed it. Or, through a portal they entered, or guarding and could appear in a place something like Star Trek having a beamer. They aren’t God powers but did know of some powers. Likewise, a different power, Spiritually Enoch knew where this took place as he had had seen them in a dream vision through the power of The Spirit. 

The fallen named the summit Mount Hermon, as it meant “oath” the swearing and binding of mutual imprecations. Perhaps they discussed it twice, the plan, then devised to swear an oath by it. Perhaps once on the job site in the heavens at that lunch break and again on earth. Or, they had an outing, training routine, were checking and protecting portals, as curious as how they arrived what is more important is that they did know better and hence why they wanted it to be a secret. Bad is bad, and none-the-less, met up on the summit, saw what they saw, liked it, and then swore themselves. 

Of course, we know they liked what they saw, as Satan had a lot going on to entice them already, he had set the stage. What the Watchers hadn’t accounted for was they were going to be stopped. Even though in their minds they wanted this to go one a long, long, time, and were very proud. It is easy enough to see for them that consequence was best to not even bring it up.

Wrap It Up

The Watchers Plan did come to an end, a horrible one, and we will get to those juicy details later, but for now, we can appreciate the warnings Enoch shared and appreciate how he lived his life. We shouldn’t want to learn the hard lessons; we need not be blind and instead see with our spiritual eyes as Enoch did.

It’s clear to see that we, mankind, and angels are supposed to be pure in heart, and spirit, always. None of us are not to lust after worldly things, or even glory, or honor, but only pure righteousness. With trust and faith in God’s plan we can embrace HIS counsel and HIS servant’s heeding’s and love. The blessed ones will live and reign with Christ forever, the blessed ones want this and don’t hid this desire under a bushel. Nothing ought to be secret, only sacred.

There is hope for all us sinners, have a repentant heart and come clean, honor your post, and calling, honor your body, Gods plan, and all HIS creations. How can we do this? We can so by using our agency to choose God. We like Enoch can help our fellow man by calling others to repentance, by setting an example of goodness, and not following the ways of the world. The world will laugh at what is good and shame the good ones. However, the strong will prevail, when we sustain our callings, we will be blessed and be a blessing, just like Enoch. I testify of these truths in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
