Color is one of the most fascinating subjects to study
My color intrigue first began back in High School when our Drill Team Director of The Tribal Belles, Mrs. Patti Hansard in Santa Fe, Texas, brought in a Color Consultant for the team where each girl was given an appointed time slot to sit with her as she threw various color swatches on telling if one was a Summer, Spring, Winter… “I was a summer. Go figure!” My light hair and tan skin look better in dark green, charcoal grey, raspberry, turquoise, teal blue, light pink, and soft whites. No wonder when I was in junior high, I had to have turquoise parachute pants; I about wore them daily; the color had me at hello! As a senior, my Homecoming Queen dress was dark green, and my senior gown was dark green; they complimented my eyes, and I felt like I was a loved tree, and green felt good.

The consultant also showed what shadows well with light brown eyes; for me, it was Green on the lid and light brown in the crease or corner. For game day, however, we girls had layers of shadow like the infamous Tammy Faye Baker. Nowadays, it’s primarily soft pinks with no crease or corner, just enough to bring out the vibes in the eye. For the rest of those years, I would wear soft pinks, blues, and whites before wearing a black Gi every day for over 25 years as an adult. These days, however, I love denim colors and earth greens; I’d say those have been my staple and favorite these last couple of years. I am sure you already resonate with these things and yet have a greater understanding as the elements of color have their place in many areas. From fashion to intentional consciousness for healing or mood are profound; we are about to get into even more significant reasons why color plays a crucial role in your life. With this knowledge comes great wisdom.

Learning about what colors for your type uplifts the spirit
I began learning more about colors and their impact on people a few decades ago. I would learn a little here and there, but it would be ten years before I took a deeper dive into their vast impact on my Holistic studies. Even now, there is so much more to learn, but I will continue to seek as I grow, here a little and there a little, enjoying the knowledge and wisdom along the way. Whatever I learn, I will always gladly share with you.

I also learned that the ancient Egyptians even studied color and its effects on the mind and body, with research showing that they used color rooms and colored gems for color light treatment due to the vibrational frequency of visible light. The shortest wavelengths have the highest energy level, as in light purple and white. Whereas red light has the lowest energy and the longest wavelength? The wavelengths constitute the vibrational frequency of visible light. Cells absorb light wavelengths. These activate your body’s innate healing powers and stimulate biological change on a molecular level.
I know I am in the best spirits when specific colors surround me.
Not only what I view with my eyes, but as a Martial artist of 34 years in all my injuries, I found that red light, infrared, and blue light therapy have catapulted my recovery from inflammation and much faster healing after surgery. It was shortly after my days of heavily competing I decided to stop beating my body up and begin to heal it regularly, getting it back to homeostasis.
Experiences happen Daily
Have you ever been drawn to wear a particular color or blend of colors? What about a beverage color like orange, beet, or spinach smoothie with vibrant fruits or juices that can only quench your thirst? When you see or have seen a particular color blend, are you mesmerized by its beauty or feel a restoration? In the same way, trees, flowers, sunsets, and sunrise colors may be show-stoppers for you. Can you reflect on one of those instances? If so, that color and its energy source are talking to you and prompting you to do exactly that. Perhaps you lack thereof, and your body is telling you, or you are out of balance and too much of a thing your body is telling you. We will get into Balance, Overactive, and Underactive with color in just a bit. Meanwhile, here is more food for thought.

Research is full of data and knowledge about color. But when you think about the topic, it just makes sense. You probably already know that each color within the light spectrum vibrates at its unique wavelength, creating its unique form of energy. Different colors of light have different wavelengths and energy. For example, light toward the red end of the spectrum has longer wavelengths and lower power than light toward the violet end.
We humans have not evolved to be enlightened and given the privilege to see all colors yet, but I know there are many more. I am sure there is an infinity of colors, just as there are sounds and sands of the sea. Color is an intricate part of our creation and was designed for us to heal from and enjoy.
Learning Here a Little and there a Little

Over a decade ago, I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach through Laura Jacobs. I wanted to know for myself, and I also have a passion for helping to teach others about ways to heal themselves with foods, colors, and many other modalities that best resonate with you. I firmly believe that our creator would not have placed us on this unique earth without giving us the elements and tools we needed to provide us with these modalities to help us learn, become better, and progress so that we may make room for more wisdom. It’s not just knowing a thing but acting on one that helps us best understand and learn from it all. I discovered numerous healing methods, from aromatherapy, cleansing, clearing, electrical, emotional, generational, nutritional, therapeutic, spiritual, structural, and vibrational. I have since and continue to teach others on these topics and offer a weekly Self Reliance class for free for all adults in Galveston, Texas. Last week, we discussed healing foods, and this week, we will dig deeper into alkaline over acidic foods. I also piggybacked off the lesson with a helpmate in self-defense with my skills from learning martial arts over the decades. I aim to help build a strong, happy, safe, healthy, and wise community, so I must do my part.
While getting physical therapy, what seems like an infinite number of times in all my injuries, I had many folks who wanted to push for more invasive treatments. I never allowed it. I knew and believed in holistic modalities for healing, including Iridology, reflexology, massage therapy, gums (in your mouth) therapy, acupressure, acupuncture, Cryotherapy, self-care, food, nature, sounds, spirituality, vibrations, essential oils, stretching the body, and more. With these works, I healed. I am not at homeostasis currently as I write this blog entry; I wish, but we all with life come to it and move out of it due to stress or illness or an injury, but that is the goal. So consciously, I work at my best awareness level to stay as close as possible to it. My top five best modalities for me: 1. Massage Therapy 2. GenoType Diet 3. Infrared Therapy 4. Nature and its colors and sound 5. Spirituality. Those aren’t in order from most significant to least, just as Jesus Christ says the last shall be first, and the first shall be last. So there’s that.

We are made of energy, atoms, cells, glorious works, and wonder; so is the earth and its foliage, animals, water, and land. Climate, environment, smells, sounds, and soundwaves interact and impact us. From the beginning, with our ancestors and the migration of our ancestors. We had Hunters, Gatherers, Warriors, Explorer, Teachers, and Nomads. Our genetic makeup comes from them, and we are genetically prone to weaknesses, risks, and strengths. Our personality develops based on our life, physical capabilities, and mindset, which can be enhanced just as it can decline. Colors play a factor in it all.
There is always the Twilight Zone.
Imagine a world without sound, smell, texture, moisture, or color. Can you imagine how different your life and even your body would be with many elements never to exist? We would be different in one shape, type, or another.
Paradisiacal Glory

Can you imagine a world with an infinity of color, beauty, glorious smells, sounds in the harmony of the ear, perfect weather, and pure light? How perfect would that be? Without a doubt, that sounds like Heaven to me. I also imagine crystals, trees, mountains, shapes, and more in this glory. There are so many wonders and awe I often think about. Because of these visions, I have always dreamed, prayed, and been drawn to colors.
Line Upon Line

While training for the Holistic Wellness Certification, I learned more about colors. This method is called Vibrational Wellness. I began making a more conscious effort to listen to my mind, body, and spirit regarding what colors I need to wear, eat, drink, and look at. I learned to test my muscles and energy to determine what, when, where, and how I need healing. I was impressed with the specific colors that invite activation or deactivation. These colors can unlock channels or freeways to a meridian flow for optimum performance, clear mind, and vision.

Flowing Colors of Energy Example
Violet and White

Represent thought, Life Purpose, Higher Self, and our connection and cognitive connection to spirituality. Oils to accompany this would be Frankincense, Helichrysum, Melissa, Roman Chamomile, Rosemary, and Sandalwood. Crystals would be Diamond, Herkimer Diamond, Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Sapphire, Moonstone, Lepidolite, and Sugilite. Examples of This color being Underactive in your life would be a sense of separation/isolation, trouble trusting, lack of a higher power, and learning difficulties. Overactive would be overly intelligent, spiritual addiction, overly concerned with humanity, confusion, or dissociation from the body. Physical manifestations would result in Dementia, autoimmune disorders, epilepsy, coma, migraines, brain tumors, amnesia, and cognitive delusions. A balance of Violet and White is love, acceptance of the Divine, intelligence, thoughtfulness, awareness, open-mindedness, ability to recognize and receive spiritual guidance, a sense of oneness, ability to transcend physical laws, and comfort on earth.
Each color has an accompanying purpose, element, essential oil, crystal, mantra, and physical, overactive, underactive, and balanced emotional block. I will provide a photo with the chart I am using to demonstrate this analysis.

I hope this information may help you and will become, if not already, part of your conscience. Please share your comments with me and share this story. I appreciate your help and hope everyone will benefit from some insight here and there!
